- Animated: We see the text "Microsoft Windows 2000" zoom out and the Windows 2000 logo slide to the centre. Then we see three lines at the bottom of the "n" in "Windows" as the text "The Business Internet" wipes in and "Starts Here" in orange slides from the left before stopping next to the text. Once it stops, a line appears between the 2 texts.
Music/Sounds[]
- Startup/animated: A piano piece, followed by a woodwind note and a 4 note melody sung by a lady.
- Shutdown: A synth chord, then another 4 note melody based on "When You Wish Upon a Star" sung by a lady.

- Startup/animated: The piano sounds different than the regular sound, and the lady was replaced by a piano.
- Shutdown: The synth chord has different notes, the lady was replaced by a piano, and at the end there's another synth chord.
Scare Factor[]
None to low. The music and zoom out might be unsettling to some, but this is a very well-beloved logo by many.
