Background[]
WANKT VIDEO (pronounced "WAYNE-KIT") was a very very small VHS producer in the Virgin Islands. It was founded on January 3, 1978. It later started to make DVDs in 1997. It was bought by Image Entertainment in 1998, later bought by RLJ in 2012, in 2014 RLJ bought Acorn Media. In 2014, following the merger of Image and Acorn, WANKT VIDEO lost money, and declared bankruptcy in 2015. And was bought and liquidated into Lionsgate on May 21, 2016.
Logo[]
(1980-1982) On a green and orange background, we see red, yellow, green, blue, and purple line draw in circles 100 times. Then on the top left corner: we see the purples words: "WANKT VIDEO" in arial, in a white box. This goes on for one minute and twenty seven seconds. This then fades to black.
Music/Sounds[]
116 zap noises that happen every second with a 10 second hum every 20 seconds. It ends with a loud announcer saying: "THE VHS PRODUCER OF THE 1980'S PRESENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Scare Factor[]
Medium to nightmare. The loud announcer, sound effects and animation are very unnerving, and the fact this lasts for almost 2 minutes doesn't help. It might also remind some of the 1st Photo Video logo, which was released 8 years after the debut of this.
