Vidyashree Pictures was a Hindi film production company from India.
Logos[]
The logo.
1st logo (August 15, 1986 as Vidyashree Films)[]
On footage of an ocean with the sun rising, there is a green swastika in a green box zooming out. As it stops in the middle, the text "VIDYASHREE FILMS PRESENTS" in green appears below.
2nd logo (October 6, 1989 as Vidyashree Pictures)[]
On a black background, there is a bold swastika spinning and changing colors quickly (red, gold, blue, orange and white, several times, but in a different order some of the times). When the swastika turns orange, it stops spinning, but it zooms out a little bit more. Then the text "VIDYASHREE PICTURES" appears below the swastika, and turns on, so the light is blue, but the text is white.
Music/Sounds[]
1st logo[]
A peaceful tune as the opening theme of the film.
2nd logo[]
A creepy whoosh, followed by a shrill of a violin and dark synth tune. When the text appears, there's another whoosh.
Scare Factor[]
1st logo[]
None. This is a peaceful and relaxing logo, especially compared to its follow-up...
2nd logo[]
Medium to nightmare. The manji can be unintentionally offensive to some, especially Jews, Germans and people who don't know this symbol in general, even though it has existed for millions of years before the Nazis adopted it as their symbol. It can also cause seizures because it changes colors quickly. The synth music and loud thunder sounds can also creep people out. It doesn't help either that the logo is on a black background.
Trivia[]
The manji symbol is easily mistaken for the symbol of the Nazis, which is a swastika. This symbol may offend Jewish and German people who don't know this, or people who don't know this in general, especially considering the manji rotates during the 2nd logo, making it look even more similar to a swastika. It should be noted that even though it was adopted by the Nazis in the 1920s, the swastika originated in the late Paleolithic period (the oldest known archaeological record is from 10,000 BC in Mezine, modern Ukraine), and has appeared all across the world, especially in Asia, where it has been used by Zoroastrianism, Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism from the 5th century BC up to today. It usually means "good luck". This logo uses the original version of the symbol, instead of the Nazi version which was tilted at a right angle.
