Background[]
Team Happy Rainbow Panda Bears is a Canadian video game company that published the game Rework the Dead: Evil, based off of Rework the Dead, a web comic authored and drawn by David Hopkins.
Logo (Animal abuse warning)[]
(February 2, 2011)
Normal version: On a gray floor in the darkness, there is a dead, and brutally ripped apart panda with a spotlight on it. On the upper side of the screen we see the two arms of the panda tied by a rope, implying it was hanged before its torture. Then, the following text fades in line-by-line, in red:
Happy Rainbow Panda Bears
Presents
Normal version variant: On the release trailer for Rework the Dead: Evil, the entire logo fades in at once.
Under 18 version #1: On a black background, we see 2 rainbows on a yellow smiley face (a la smiling face emoji) with a blue swirl and red swirl with the text "TEAM" on both rainbows and the panda on the bottom of rainbow. On the smiley face is the text "Team Happy Rainbow Panda Bears" in red.
Under 18 version #2: On a light gray foggy background, we see some plant-like ring growing and the rainbow appears and the a panda and bear fading. And so does the text.
Music/Sounds[]
None just to be dead silence, which increases the scare factor (Because silence is always creepy).
Music/Sounds Variant[]
Both of the under 18 versions had a cute and joyful music playing over it.
Scare Factor[]
Original version: Nightmare. This is a very infamous logo due to the logo's dark nature, silence, sinister-looking text and the fact that the company's name doesn't match with what is shown, and because of the blood, gore, and animal abuse and cruelty. as well as the fact that it is really gory illustration. This logo will DEFINITELY upset/trigger animal lovers and/or people sensitive to blood and gore. However, it's lower if you're used to gory content like this for some time. And considering the game's violent content, the scare factor is obviously intentional. Of course, this is a joke logo for the company (as the game has lots of blood and gore). and the name is supposed to be ironic. The name and plot were inspired by the web animated series Happy Tree Friends, which features cute animals who get brutally killed throughout each episode.
James Moulton's Under 18 version: None, it's kind of cute and friendly music and appearance of the logo. I said it is tamer for +18🔞
SLN! Media Group's Under 18 version: None to low, even though the music might surprise some people, it’s not graphic like the Original and is much more child friendly.
Trivia[]
- The best way to avoid getting petrified by this is to meet up a panda.
