Background[]
Shera Films Corporation is a pakistan film company that produces many pakistan films since 1980's but the company doesn't use the logo until 1990.
Logos[]
1st logo[]
(March 2, 1990-Early 1990's): On a blue background is a lion (resembling MGM's Leo) in a green circle with stars in an arch. On top of the circle, its an emblem with an yellow S on it. On the bottom, there's text saying "SHERA FILM'S CORPORATION".
Variant[]
On Rambo, the logo is supposed to zoom out, but it was cut at the end of the zooming.
2nd logo[]
(1994): On a black background is a tiger fading on screen, then the tiger moves to the left, after that an "S" fades in and moves to the right. Then, the word "hera" appears letter-by-letter. then the word "Films" appears spinning then stop, following with the text going up then the word "Presents" moves fast to right.
3rd logo[]
(September 9, 1994-1996): Beginning with a footage of a tiger jumping over a water field in a rural area. Then it go to another cut of the same animal doing so, but this time not on the water reflection. Then the footage freezes as the words "SHERA FILMS" and "PRESENTS" slide in from the right. The text then slides out before the logo cuts.
4th logo[]
(1997-April 8, 1998): On a black background, an image of a lion zooming in until the screen is covered completely by its face. The lion then opens his mouth while a loud roar plays. "SHERA FILMS" and "PRESENTS" then shoot out from the lion's mouth. After that, the lion's eyes go from its regular color brown to reddish orange and then to white.
Variants[]
- The logo is cut short beginning at the end of the roar and the text appearing on some film prints.
- On modern reissues (reserved only on early VCDs) of ''Baharo Phool Barsao'', the logo is darker and yellow-red tinted.
5th logo[]
(1999?): It’s just the bold italic text saying “SHERA FILMS PRESENT'S” on a dark background.
6th logo[]
(January 14, 2011): Beginning with footage of a close-up of a lion roaring in a weed background. After three seconds, the footage freezes, and the lion's head zooms out with the background changing to black. And then the red Urdu text "SHERA FILMS PRESENTS" appears as it spins around
7th logo[]
(February 10, 2012): On a black background, a still image of a roaring lion in a large yellow circle. Around the circle are smaller circles, each with looping footage of a lion. We then see in green text "Shera Film's" zooming out along with "PRESENTS" below it in a red color.
8th logo[]
(October 27, 2012): First, a light flash, then it dims down to see 3 spotlights in the shape of a triangle. As such, 2 "hook"-like shapes, one red and the other grey, zoom out. The text "SHERA FILMS" in red, facing upward, zooms out and turns to face us followed by "PRESENTS" zooming out, also facing upward, zooming out and turning. The "hook" shapes then turn to reveal an S shape, then the logo fades out.
Variants[]
There exists both digital and filmed versions of the logo.
Music/Sounds[]
1st logo: A dramatic fanfare that's cut off from the beginning.
Music/Sounds Variant[]
On Rambo, there's a little bit more parts of the fanfare.
2nd logo: A loud roar of an animal, and some other sounds which are heavily distorted.
3rd logo: A loud roar from the animal (similar to the one used on the 2nd Noumi Pictures logo), then followed by an ascending string theme which cuts abruptly.
4th logo: A trumpet fanfare, followed by the lion roaring (at a loud volume) from the previous logo, ending with an arpeggiating synth theme.
5th logo: A dramatic fanfare.
6th logo: A loud roar from the lion followed by a deep, drum-like synth fanfare with drums at the end.
7th logo: A loud, echoed roar at the beginning which sounds more like a loud gunshot, followed by a roughly done six-note orchestra fanfare.
8th logo; A calm 4-note horn fanfare and the sound of a blade as the light turns on. There are also drums heard throughout the logo. The filmed variant is the same, but muffled, due to film deterioration.
Scare Factor[]
1st logo: None to low. Leo may look weird to some, but it's harmless.
2nd logo: Medium to high. the loud roar, the distorted sounds are sure to scare some.
3rd logo: Low to high, due to its very sudden appearance accompanied by the roar, but if you have seen it before, it's not that surprising. The animal footage may even unnerve some and the jump-cut to the movie can startle those as well. However, It got worse on its follow up.
4th logo: Depending on the variant:
- Original variant: Medium to high, the close-up of the lion along with the roar can be jarring to viewers, and even would cause a jumpscare to some.
- Extended variant: Medium to nightmare, thanks to the V of Doom-styled zoom-in and the extended roar.
5th logo: Low. The dark background and fanfare can be off-putting to some, but it's a lot tamer than the previous logo due of how boring and cheap it was.
6th logo: Low to high. The loud and deep roar from the lion and bad drum-like synth fanfare might scare some, but thanks for all of it's cheesiness due to bad film quality.
7th logo: Low to high. The roar and badly composed orchestra, along with the cheesiness and heavily damaged film quality might scare somebody, but the logo is more laughable than scary.
8th logo: None to low. There isn't much to worry about here, and is noticeably much tamer than one of the previous logos and even 5th logo.
