From now on, to make this wiki better, we will follow these category rules:
- To prevent the creation of unnecessary categories, only administrators may create a new category if they decide that such a category would be useful for organization. In the past, we've had categories such as the following:
- Logos that scare [X], Logos that make [X] cry/laugh/scream/die/fall down the stairs/etc. This was, if not, the most common type of category to be on this wiki.
- Meme categories
- URL/spam/NSFW categories
- Super long categories (such as Logos so scary that you roll on the floor knocking everyone and poop out an explosive dump that explodes killing everyone in the universe and forms a black hole with a bunch of Roblox Noob Oof and you f***ing die and Logos so scary that you roll on the floor, yell in the bathroom, and play the mine song earape with the volume up without headphones. And blame it on your sister. And yell so loud the street can hear)
- Logos that/children who act like [X] (Logos are not children and they are not on Supernanny, also putting the actual names of children who appeared on Supernanny is EXTREMELY disrespectful)
- Letters of the alphabet (as well as creating categories with only a few letters to get around double letters, it just creates useless categories)
- Logos so scary that [X]
- Categories that are straight up useless (such as I HATE FLUTES)
- Quotes, lines, lyrics or a random sentence in general. This also applies to when the quote/lyrics/lines are rewritten (such as WHO LIVES IN A PINEAPPLE UNDER THE SEA SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS ABSORBENT AND YELLOW AND POROUS IS HEEEE!!! SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS IF POOP BUTT BE POOPY YOUR DUMB BUTTHOLE! YOU ARE A BUTTHOLE THEN POOP IN YOUR PANTS AND DANCE IT IT YOUR A BUTTHOLE).
- Categories with bad grammar/typos
- Logos that kill [X]
- Band names/musical titles.
- Categories that are related to My Little Pony, VeggieTales and object shows like Battle for Dream Island and Inanimate Insanity (except for the companies who made them)
- Numbers
- Swear Words/Profanity
- Offensive categories (such as racist categories, homophobic categories, categories that goes against an ethnicity or religion and categories that promote committing crimes of some sort.)
- More than one deletion category for a page, especially if they progressively get more aggressive and hateful. These will not, and we repeat NOT get a page deleted faster, and it's hateful. It's not a massive deal that somebody made a spam page, we will just delete it and warn or block the offending user.
- Scare Factors that do not exist like Horror, Heart Attack, Chill, Fright, Video Game etc. See the List of Scare Factors for the ones you can apply to a logo.
- Taken from [X] categories.
- Mean categories, especially if it’s on other people's user pages (we have had an issue with this in the past, up to the point where there was a category called Communist Users, even though nobody is a communist on this wiki.)
- Opinion-related categories (such as Awesome Logos, Bad Logos, etc.)
- Logos that [X] likes/hates/finds neutral.
- Death threats or grounded threats
- Categories that serve the purpose of an existing category (duplicates). These include:
- Scare factors (we already have the logo ranking categories)
- Years of logos (these are unnecessary because we already have the Logos that debuted/dissolved in [X] categories. Also, putting every single year the logo existed in is causing a category flood).
- Categories that are exactly the same as an existing category save for a minor difference (capitalization, spelling, etc.) are included under this rule.
- These are the categories that are NOT useless, and should be used:
- [X] Ranked Logos
- Scary Logos Wiki (All category pages should have this category to build a master list of every category. If you see a category page without this category, please add it. This does not apply for pages that are candidates for deletion, user pages, or user talks.)
- Scary/Unscary Logos (depending on the logo)
- Countries
- CGI Logos
- Animated Logos
- Logos that debuted/dissolved in [X]
- [X] Logos (Blue Logos, Red Logos, Loud Logos, Black and White Logos, etc. Please don't get ridiculous with them or it goes back to square one)
- Logos in the top 2000 scariest logos list by Joshua Fletcher
- Video titles (that actually have these logos in them)
- Logos given the Not Scary/Unnerving/Scary Verdict by Jay Productions.
- Main company names (in affiliate companies, such as the "PBS" category in WGBH).
- Logos with [X] as long as it's reasonable and correct.
- Maintenance categories (such as Redirect Pages)
