Background[]

Producciones Optimist, S.A. was a short-lived Argentinan home video company founded in 1991. The company was dissolved in 1992.

(1991-1992): The camera zooms out from a wavy, glitchy-looking background consisting of vertical, bright green and purple lines to reveal the shadow of the logo, which consists of a symbol that consists of a curved line with a scribble to its side, the word "OPTIMIST" and a wavy line below it. The "OPTIMIST" and symbol then both fill in with white and red respectively, while the wavy line later fills in cyan while "OPTIMIST" goes dark again. The background then begins to scroll horizontally. After approximately fifteen seconds, the word "PRESENTA", which is colored yellow, zooms out to cover the wavy line, and the background starts to zoom into the screen. After approximately ten more seconds, various copies of the screen appear and shuffle away.

Music/Sounds[]

A catchy 80's synthesized theme with deep kicks and bells, which slightly lowers volume after/before the first and last seconds of the logo (because of tape deterioration). This is actually “Delta Two” by Synergy.

Scare Factor[]

Low to high. The logo's unusual and epileptic look, the background zooming into the screen, and the volume increase near the end may surprise someone who isn't expecting it. Aside from that, others will find it straight up headache inducing and cheesy, though the music could easily be a favourite to some.
