Background[]

nWave Pictures is a Belgian animation studio based in Brussels, with an American office in Los Angeles, California. It was founded in 1994 by Ben Stassen and D&D Entertainment Group, with its first traditional short film Encounter in the Third Dimension being released in 1999, although they have made a number of films for motion simulators and rides since 1997 (most prominently for Canadian-based Triotech). In September 2018, Matthieu Zeller's production group MZM acquired a majority stake in the studio. The company didn't use a logo until 2008.

1st Logo: (2008 - 2010):[]

There is a rectangle on a black background, that contains a darkened-lighted environment with a man wearing 3D glasses. A blue "n" morphs in and flies around the man, who is looking at the "n" with a blue cubed trail. At one point, the man looks at the audience briefly, as well as the glasses flashing blue. The man and the "n" are taken in a black square, as the background fades into a lighted environment. The letters "wa" appear with "ve" unfolding in to create the word "nwave". The word "p i c t u r e s" wipes in with the rectangle changing code effect. The trail freezes, except for the man and the background, as the byline "In Association with Illuminata Pictures" in its generic font fades in.

2nd Logo (2012 - 2019):[]

On a black background, a gray cube fades in as it drops into a rectangle, which stretches in, as the color changes to blue-tinted and the cube glows white. The cube explodes, releasing many colorful items floating, as the rectangle expands to a lighted environment. The items fly back to the center as the letters of "nWave" (with the "W" in a different style) zoom out and take positions. The word "pictures" wipes in with a light wipe and shines with the same light wipe.

3rd Logo (2019 - present):[]

On a black background with an orange light shining underneath is various silver-colored shapes rising next through a giant curved shape. The shapes then fly to curve and form the "W" of the nWave logo, as a blue sphere appears and turns to a blue cube. The text "n" and "ave" then appear, as a blue streak forms the blue text "pictures".

Music/Sound[]

A mysterious piano theme combined with some laser/sweeping sounds, ending in an ascending whirr, two low-pitched piano notes, and a percussion outro.
