Scary Logos Wiki

Lionel Films is a film production company from Sri Lanka.

1st Logo (December 31, 1999-November 27, 2004)[]

Visuals: On a red background, there is stylized “F” with the F’s middle line being a branch with a film camera standing on it, all in yellow, along with a red line ending with a spiral (actually an outlined L). Below it is yellow sans serif text “LIONEL FILMS PRESENTS”, in a stacked format. A moment later, the text changes into it’s Sinhala translation.

Variants: On Ukusu Es, the logo is colored white, and the outlined L is colored orange, the text is only in Sinhala. On a high quality print of Ukusu Es, the logo is animated over a black background, with the logo and Sinhala text burring in and zooming in.

Technique: A still printed image, motion controlled animation for the high quality version of the Ukusu Es variant.

Audio: None.

Scare Factor: None to low, due to the weird design, and the lack of music. The dark background on the high quality Ukusu Es variant might raise the scare factor even more.

2nd Logo (2011)[]

Visuals: There is a close up of a moving film project, with the box of it being hollowed, the film reels shown, and the end part of it being a grid. Shiny golden sans serif text “LIONEL FILMS” and “PRESENTS” below it in a serif font, along with an italic connected shiny “LF” inside a spinning circle zooms out over and below the camera before it stops. After a while, a light moves across the text as it fades out, before it gets replaced with its Sinhala translation fading in.

Variant: On an unknown film, the film projector is colored purple, as well with the italic connected “LF”, and the text colored in a yellow color.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A bombastic horn fanfare (barely heard due to copyright or something) with a whoosh when the text, and the logo zooms out, with a ringing noise at the end, and another whoosh when the light passes by the text. The variant has the audio more hearable.

Scare Factor: Low to medium, due to the darkness, the music, the animation, and the design of the projector.
