Intervision

Background

Intervision was one of the earliest VHS labels in the UK. Managed by Mike Tenner and Richard Cooper, the company distributed major film releases (namely those from United Artists) and distributed releases by Alpha Video and Inter-Light Video. The company eventually went under in 1984, following the rise of major VHS distributors in the UK.

Logo

(1979-1984):On a yellow background, it quickly zooms out to reveal a brown background, and the yellow was actually an abstract "'v'" flanked with 2 lines at each side and a large dot on the left side to form an "i". 12 copies of the same "iv" also come in towards the logo, with 5 on the top and bottom and 1 on each side. This occurs up to 6 times as the logo zooms out and settles just off-center. As the copies stop, the lines on the "iv" stretch out to either side, with the right being longer, and then slide down to create a second layer on the "iv", as well as the text "intervision" split between the "iv" in a 50s-esque blocky font that's conjoined together with each other and the split within the "iv".

Music/Sounds

An edited version of "Daytripper" by Alan Hawkshaw and Brian Bennett. Two slightly different variations of this music were used, both from the same song. The first version is in the middle, while the second is on the right.
