Logos[]

1st logo (1995-1996)[]

We see an electrical tower in front of the stormy sky. The thunder occurs around and the lightning hits the tower. Then we switch to the side view with the tower standing left and the horizontal pod with the white sign saying High Voltage Software (1995)"DANGER" in red box and "HIGH VOLTAGE" in black below. The sign then flips open, revealing the lower part with "SOFTWARE" handwritten in messy red font.

2nd logo (1995)[]

We see a box containing a dark-blue sky background with an electrical tower (like the ones you see near factories). The words

HIGH VOLTAGE S O F T W A R E

are shown curved around the tower. Two yellow and black strips of warning tape with "DANGER!!! HIGH VOLTAGE!!!" written on them in red slide in from the top and bottom sides of the screen, and four electrical bolts shoot out from the tower four times, each in a diagonal corner of the screen. The warning strips slide away.

3rd logo (1996)[]

We see a sign saying "Danger High Voltage" on a fence as we zoom out to see the electrical tower from before. Lightning strikes the tower as the logo zooms out once again, we then see the tower inside of a box on a metal wall, with the same High Voltage Software text from before underneath it, which is surging with yellow electricity before turning blue.

4th logo (1997)[]

A high voltage sign appears, not like the one in the next logo, and a laser carves out a section. The section falls, revealing the electrical tower and the area around it rusts and bubbles. It bulges out on the bottom, making the sign move a bit, and then crashes through, revealing the text in yellow before becoming blue.

5th logo (1999)[]

Starting with a dark screen, we hear footsteps. The screen brightens to reveal a Lego mini-figure in an electric worker's outfit, walking and smiling and he goes to a switch. He struggles to pull it for a few seconds and then he does it. We hear sparks and the mini-figure's face turns to wonder and then happiness as the camera zooms in on his face. In the next scene we see the High Voltage Software sign in darkness. Then, as the lights flicker on, the camera rotates to have the logo in the center. We remain on the same shot, with a skyline in the background, and then the camera fades to black. The logo itself reads as follows: On a white square, "DANGER" is in white lettering in a red ellipse on top. "HIGH VOLTAGE SOFTWARE" is black and each word in read top to bottom, except for "SOFTWARE" which is sideways on the right side.

6th logo (1999)[]

On a black background, the Paperboy from the game appears, riding his bike. We then pan down to the dog, which is chasing him. The camera then switches to 2 electrical towers and a power switch with the HVS shield below the switch on the sign. The Paperboy throws a newspaper at the switch, turning on the towers and shocking the dog. He then lies on the ground and the switch turns as we zoom in on the logo. A lightning bolt scans the screen.

7th logo (2000)[]

Through an optic device, we observe soldiers moving across the orange surface, when the large electric tower rises up and takes all the view. Then the device power-offs and the close-up view of the HVS shield appears, which zooms to normal position.

8th logo (2002-2003)[]

At a power plant, we see sparks and bolts of lightning strike it. It zooms out a bit before quickly zooming into the sign, which a rusted version of the HVS shield, which the camera shakes a bit after that. Sparks rain down over the logo and more bolts appear in the background.

9th logo (2002-2003)[]

On a black background, the High Voltage Software logo fades in, before fading into a darker environment with the logo on it, with rust around it and swinging back and forth. It then zooms out to reveal that it's on a bug zapper, hanging above a old porch with broken windows and insects flying around it, with one being shocked. We then cut to a close up shot of a bron bug with a cigar in it's mouth, goggles over its eyes and the left wing shell has "DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR" and the other one have a skull and crossbones and saying below it "LIVE FREE OR DIE", both being in a grungy white font. We zoom out from him to reveal a swarm of wasps, dragonflies, and other insects flying through a forest. They swerve off screen and then we cut back to the porch, but in a wider shot, where a bug gets shocked and then the swarm goes into it. They then all get shocked, with proves too much for the zapper and explodes, sending the brown bug off the screen, the windows burned out, and the porch with burn marks as the remains of the zapper swing back and forth, sending a few jolts before falling off and hitting the ground. We then cut to the bug zapper remains and zoom in onto the High Voltage Software logo, where remain there for the rest of the logo as a lone firefly lights up the logo before flying away and fading to black.

10th logo (2004-2006)[]

We see a kid with glasses in a room, who's looking through a pile of games that he has. He then pulls out a disc that has the company logo from before on it. He puts it in his game console and begins playing it, until his TV begins to shake. It surges with electricity, and shoots out a bluish light, leaving the kid with an amazed face as the camera zooms in on his glasses, where we see logo on a black background, surging with electricity.

11th logo (2004)[]

On a black space, several glowing blocks with red outlines float and join together, zoom inside, then form the HVS shield in the middle.

12th logo (2005-)[]

The flames open the view on the red-haired game character shown from behind. Then he looks back and we immediately zoom close into his eyes. He produces a game card and throws in at the screen. The card flips several times and becomes the HVS shield logo.

13th logo (2006-)[]

On a black background, we see the logo as we zoom on a mechanical arm coming out from the left side of the logo, it begins rotating and mildly surging with electricity, we then see the logo zoomed out again as two mechanical arms (the one from before and another one on the right side) shock the logo with electricity, then retreat back into it. The logo then slowly zooms out and fades out.

14th logo (2007-2008)[]

There is the steel-patched HVS shield. Two fire streams move and meet at the center, causing the logo to vibrate and slowly zoom in, while the horizontal power line descends over it.

15th logo (2008-)[]

A hand pulls out a orb that shines light on a rune, with the symbol of the game itself with the High Voltage Software logo over it in gold. The logo and symbol then take up the screen and the logo shines to it's correct colors as the background fades to white.

16ht logo (2009)[]

The logo shield slowly zooms in, with thunder and lightning in the background.

17th logo (2011-2012)[]

On a purple stage, the HVS shield is seen, pulsing and emitting reflections in joint with the music beats. Three lights descent above. After some beating, the logo suddenly explodes and dissolves into particles.

18th logo (2012)[]

In a dark space, we see a small orange square and blue rectangle. The latter flips and multiplies, and the HVS logo appears on its place, deforming and twitching at random parts. Small blue squares and stars flash around. The logo ends when the orange square poses at the right side and begins to constantly flash.

Music/Sounds[]

Wheel-creaking and the whining of fried dog, with a horn theme all through it. Crackling is heard at the end.

[]

Minor wind and talking.

[]

Various electricity sounds, which features a 11-note horn fanfare in the background.

[]

Sounds of zaps and buzzing heard throughout the logo, a dramatic orchestral theme when we cut to the swarm, an explosion when the bug zapper blows up, and then sounds of rusty swinging when the zapper swings.

[]

A rock theme starting when the kid finds the disc with the logo on it, but we hear the sounds of birds chirping beforehand, and we also hear several video game sound effects and electrical surges throughout.

Scare Factor[]

1st logo[]

Medium to high, thanks to the darkness and sounds.

2nd logo[]

None to medium. Although the logo starts off tame, the thunderclap is startling and will get to some.

3rd logo[]

Medium to high, again, thanks to the electricity animation and sounds.

4th logo[]

Medium. The laser and crashing might catch you off-guard.

5th logo[]

Low to medium. The electric sounds and the close-up face of the LEGO minifigure may scare you a little. Otherwise, it's a favourite to LEGO fans.

6th logo[]

Low to high. Some can easily be startled by the dog getting electrocuted, especially dog lovers.

7th logo[]

Minimal; this is a lot tamer than the other logos.

8th logo[]

High. Again, it's the electricity that will startle some people.

9th logo[]

Low to medium. The bug's appearance and design can be frightening to some viewers, as well as the sudden bug zapper explosion.

10th logo[]

Low.

11th logo[]

Minimal to low.

12th logo[]

Low.

13th logo[]

Low to medium. Of course, you can blame the electricity for this, but otherwise, this is a pretty cool logo.

14th logo[]

Medium. The fire, shaking and sounds can startle those who aren't expecting it.

15th logo[]

None to low. Again, the sounds can be startling, but it's generally harmless.

[]

Low to high, because of the zooming and lightning.

17th logo[]

None.

18th logo[]

None.
