El Tres TV (call sign LT 83 TV) is an Argentine private, over-the-air television station broadcasting from Rosario, province of Santa Fe. El Tres TV is operated by Grupo Televisión Litoral (which in turn is operated by Artear) alongside two radio stations, Plus FM on 93.1 MHz FM and Radio 2 on 1230 kHz AM.
Logos[]
1st Logo (1993 - 1994)[]
On a brown stone floor, a multicolored polygon appears and moves, while the channel's iconic "3" logo appearing rising from it. The polygon gradually turns in yellow. Once both shapes are in the center of the screen, tilted, below appear the station info in light brown, slightly obscured by the logo's shadow.
2nd Logo (1993)[]
NOTE: This logo is divided into two sections, the First Part for the regular bumper, and the Second Part, for the Horario de Protección Al Menor bumper.
First Part[]
On a black background with red, yellow, green and blue stripes, we see 3D text saying "TEMPORADA" scroll from the right, then zoom out with a mirror and another line of text saying "NOVENTA Y...". The two lines of text move to their final positions, and the mirror turns to face the front and moves up. Then, the television channel's (at the time) logo appears below it, making the "NOVENTA Y..." reference the year it was recorded in (1993). After that, a digitally-imposed clock telling the temperature (2.3°C?) and the time (21:59/9:59PM) in yellow with a black outline appears at the bottom of the screen both left and right.
Second Part[]
For exactly one frame, the second part of the logo itself abruptly appears, albeit in color. Then, it cuts back to a still image of the end of the first part of the logo, albeit now glitched. It then abruptly cuts to the full second part of the logo after exactly 1.36 seconds. We now see a purple (now gray due to the black and white filter due to a technical error) stock image of a sky with a dark orange-yellow (now dark gray-light gray due to the reason above) circle with a white smiley face on it, with behind it a semi-transparent black box, and below the face, barely readable and almost transparent text saying "HORARIO DE PROTECCIÓN AL MENOR". The logo (or atleast probably the tape recording itself) begins to show prominent damage now. After 12 seconds for this, the logo then cuts to the image above, a less scarier image without the creepy face and with the channel logo, for again exactly one frame. This was probably most likely a technical error or a one-time usage, as there are no other recordings of it online.
Music/Sounds[]
1st Logo[]
An electronic descending whooshing sound, followed by an ominous rising synth repeated twice before taking a more friendlier approach. As the "3" fully forms there is a quieter whooshing noise. This is then followed by some more (but less emphasized) ominous synth noises with some drum noises in the background. There is also a male announcer, saying "Desde Rosario, Argentina. Canal 3. Un canal, como la gente."
2nd Logo[]
First Part[]
A low-pitched, proud but happy-sounding synth with high-pitched 10-note beeping jingle.
Second Part[]
A two-note extending ominous sound before it changes into scary, dream-like (probably due to the tape damaged making it warped) synthesizer with creepy laughter in the background, which turns into a cough at the end of the 9 second soundtrack, in which at the end you can hear some brief night time ambience. Then, the music/audio cuts short and abruptly stops, with an announcer announcing that the following programs may or may not be suitable for children.
Scare factor[]
1st Logo[]
Medium to high, for the latter especially late at night (when the logo was recorded). The ominous and tense-feeling music makes it not suitable for a dark environment.
2nd logo[]
First Part[]
Minimal.
Second Part[]
Nightmare. The creepy looking visuals, the music sounds like it came out of a horror movie and that laugh. Aswell as the fact how damaged the tape is makes it even worse. While some may find it just weird, others (including the writer) might find it absolutely terrifying, especially the ones who saw this back in the day when it aired. By the way, this aired at night. Although the visuals might have been of a result of a technical error (note how that there are 2 bumper variants, the latter only appearing for a frame, and how it for some reason is in black and white yet the clock at the bottom of the screen isn't), they definetley knew that this would probably scare children.
