Scary Logos Wiki

Logos[]

1st logo (1933-1987)[]

There is a light that looks like the sun, which is surrounded and revealed by what it looks like a golden penny or a stamp, which has an indigenous man with the text "SELECCIÓN" at the top, "MENTASTI", at the middle with a flat line and EDITOR at the bottom. On a black background that with it's light which becames more brighter, cloudy sky. The penny then becomes bright with it's lights. The text "ARGENTINA", which in the two A's, form an curve line (depends on the left and the right) with "SONO" and "FILM" in the bottom of it, on a Cambria-like font, including a poetry paper (looks like someone has written an anthem) that reads S.A.C.I morph into the logo and zoom in at the same time. The logo stands still for a couple of seconds until it fades to black.

Variants[]

  • The logo would be in color for its later years. The sky is blue, the sun is yellow and the seal and text are orange.
  • On a Soviet print of Amor a primera vista, a still from the logo appears, with "Производство АРГЕНТИНА СОНО-ФИЛЬМ" appearing on top of the still, with "Производство" and "Аргентина" written in the same font.
  • On a Soviet print of A la sonrisa de mamá, a still from the logo appears, with "Производство <<СОНО-ФИЛЬМ>> Аргентина" appearing on top of the still, with "Производство" and "Аргентина" written in the same font.

2nd logo (1935)[]

There are giant letters swimming in what seems to be running water. The letters come together one by one on a damp, paper-like surface, creating a rays-like background that displays the word "ARGENTINA" at the top in an ornate version of Arial, and "SONO FILM" at the bottom in a simple, cartoonish font, casting shadows on the background. Below this, there is a large house resembling an ancient mosque, accompanied by the word "PRESENTA".

3rd logo (1970s-1980s)[]

On a space background, the screen zooms through stars, leading to a background of a sun. The same seal appears on the sun, and above it the text "ARGENTINA" in a serif version of the same font as the previous logo appears, as does "SONO FILM", and a red ribbon with "S.A.C.I" appears below. The logo shines.

4th logo (2016-)[]

A similar concept to before. The logo zooms through clouds (ala the 2014 Columbia Pictures logo), and when it comes to a clearing, there is the same "ARGENTINA SONO FILM" text as before, only without the "S.A.C.I." banner, which flips up.

Music/Sounds[]

[]

A bombastic majestic fanfare. In its later years, the tone pitch of it is higher. Sometimes the logo is silent or the film's opening theme is used.

[]

The sounds of water dripping, along with a drumroll with a bombastic trumpet fanfare at the end.

[]

Same as the first logo. Starting in 2006, the fanfare is reorchestrated.

[]

A synthesized reorchestration of the first logo's fanfare.

Scare Factor[]

1st logo[]

Medium to nightmare for the original variant. The dark sky, loud fanfare and the zoom-in of the text are noted to scare many. Low to medium for the color variant, as the brighter atmosphere and the toned down fanfare decrease the scare factor significantly. Still, the zoom-in of the logo would get to some.

2nd logo[]

Low to nightmare, because of the weird nature in this logo and the fast pace, followed by the animation, which does look kind of disgusting and something you would definitely not expect to see in the 1930s. Otherwise, this is a bit tamer then the last logo.

3rd logo[]

Low, as the CGI gives the logo a cleaner look, thus making it significantly tamer. Minimal to low for the synthethized rendition, it's the same CGI, but the fanfare this time is more calming.

4th logo[]

Argentina Sono Film Logo

Argentina Sono Film Logo

Minimal. A very suitable successor to the 3rd logo thanks to the advanced CGI.
