Background[]
Aqua Studio, full name being The Aqua Video Game Corporation S.A. is a French video game studio founded in 1998 as a joint venture with Ubisoft and The Gaumont Film Company. On December 31, 2015, Microsoft Studios (now known as Xbox Game Studios) bought the company, and Aqua Studio went silent for three years, starting on January 20, 2016. They would only release 6 games throughout 3 years. On December 1, 2019, Microsoft Studios and Vivendi SE made the company finally stop being silent, and is still going on after over 20 years.
Logos[]
1st logo (1999-2011)[]
On a teal background, we see a stylistic image of a fish in a wave formed from a cyan heart that morphed into it. then, "Aqua Studio" in Palatino spirals in. Then a byline and URL appears, and then, it cuts to black.
Variants[]
- On Meme Man: Canny's Soup Quest (2005), The background is Eco Green, and the text and wave is pastel green.
- In 2008, the studio celebrated their 10th anniversary. For the occasion, they made the text and image bronze, and the image has the number ten in it in FF Blur above the fish.
- For Robot 51342 (2001) and Robot 51342: Attack of the Robot Fascists (2005), the background is burnt orange and rusted, and the text and image is red.
2nd logo (2012-2014)[]
We cut to an ocean environment, where the camera splashes into the ocean where we stay like this for 13 seconds, where when it stops, we see "Aqua Films" in green in Arial Black, which then, we see the byline and URL fade in. A clownfish and turtle look at the text, where it fades to black.
3rd logo (2015-)[]
We see many animals with a different color:
- an orange jellyfish
- a blue tuna fish
- a red octopus
- a green turtle
- a white piranha
- a killer whale
The animals are riding a wave (see Trivia to see who animated it). Then, the wave turns into a whirlpool, that suck the wave and animals down. Then, the animals and wave spiral in from the top of the screen. Then after that, the image turns 2D and freezes, where the Aqua Studio text, this time in Calabri MS, forms from the wave. And so does the byline. Then, the logo gets washed away, where it then shows blackness after the wave dies down.
Variants:[]
In 2018, a 20th Anniversary logo was created, with the background dark yellow, and the wave being liquid 24k gold, instead of water, and a large orange "20th Anniversary" fading in overtop the text. It was only seen on 2 games, Brains and Blood 2: The Zombiepocolypse Continues, and the mobile game version of Icy 3: The Frozen Cave.
Byline Changes[]
- From 2016 to 2020, the byline read "A Microsoft Studios Company"
- Starting in 2020, the byline read "A Division of Xbox Game Studios", with a tiny Xbox print logo to the left of the byline.

- On Canny's Soup Quest, there is a twinkle.
- On the first two Robot 51342 games (Robot 51342 & Robot 51342: Attack of the Root Fascists), there is blood curtling screams, and knife sounds. A heartbeat can also be heard.

The sound of water splashing, and dreamy music.

Just the sound of water splashing, and children laughing.
Scare Factor[]
1st logo[]
It depends:
- Original: None. The logo is not scary.
- CSQ Variant: Minimal. Though the green can get to people. However, the Robot 51342 variant is worse...
- Robot 51342 Variant: Nightmare. The rusted background, the screaming, the heartbeat, and the knife sound can add some scare factor.
2nd logo[]
None to Low, because of the design of the animals.
3rd logo[]
None to medium. Though, the wave can get to some.
Trivia[]
- The animation for the wave in the third logo was animated by Valve's Gold Source, while the aquatic creatures were animated by Illumination Entertainment.
- The studio's original name was going to be "ActiWater Visions" but if you took out the "s" and "Water" words, you'd get Activision. So it had to change.
- It was also going to be named "Gaumont Interactive".
