Logo[]
(1981-1985): On a dark blue background, a stylized greek letter "alpha" draws by itself. When it is finished, the word "alpha", in lowercase, and in an unusual font, appears.
Variant[]
After the normal logo, in the same blue background, the phrase "For your further enjoyment, alpha video presents". "Alpha" is stylised in a blocky font with the small Alpha Video logo boxed on top of the p. "Video" is also stylized, but in a less blocky font. This was also used on the box art for Intervison/Alpha releases.
Music/Sounds[]
A catchy, droning synth tune with synthetic clunks and beeps, which is lifted from the composition "Telex" by Derek Scott. On the variant, the logo is silent. There also exists a silent version of the standard logo. without the "Further Enjoyment" screen, seen on the first release of Kentucky Fried Movie.
Scare Factor[]
Medium to nightmare, The loud, strange guitar music combined with the mouse code beeping, semi-dark atmosphere and strange formation of the logo have frightened more than a few. however, it is a favourite of many pre-cert/video nasty enthusiasts.
