Background[]
1st Call Video Rights Limited (also known as "First Call Video") was a distributor of public domain cartoons tapes established in New Zealand and Australia by Philip L'Oro International Pictures from the late 80's to the early 90's. However, First Call Video released a collection of Force Five tapes in both New Zealand and Australia which were distributed by Krypton Force in the United Kingdom.
Logo(s)[]
Logo 1: (1980's)[]
On numerous fast-paced backgrounds at a time (presumably from an older software or some other computer program,) the words "1st Call" are stretched out and presented. Once the animation cycles are complete, the same words "1st Call" are compacted into a small, rectangular, grey box which drifts to the right side of the screen.
Variant:[]
- There is an Asian variant of the logo that does not include For General Exhibition before the logo begins.
Music/Sounds[]
Logo 1:[]
A loud and repetitive synthesizer fanfare that loops every 3 seconds.
Logo 1 (Asia Variant):[]
Same as Logo 1.
Scare Factor[]
Logo 1:[]
Low to High. The loud synthesizer being played over a fast-paced and rapidly changing background may be a bit off-putting to users of the VHS tape(s). Also, the abruptness of the logo after the General Exhibition notice can also be a bit startling to some viewers if not expected.
Logo 1 (Asia Variant):[]
Same as Logo 1.
Trivia[]
Some aspects of this logo can be a bit seizure-inducing, which can be problematic to people who suffer from epilepsy.
