Looking for the earrape or 'Yotsuba' logo? Please head to the Supreme ВИD of Doom and Yotsuba of Doom article.
Background[]
The ВИD of Doom is a YouTube video by Andreyj857 (a.k.a. nu11) being a logo screamer.
Logo[]
It starts off with the filmed V of Doom logo popped. Before the V of Doom logo cuts to black, a ВИD mask (or the Mask of Guo Xiang) with angry eyes open and tongue sticking out (shown in the gallery) crashes the logo along with the screen. Afterwards, it zooms out, slowly vibrating, zoom blur and brightening the screen. Then, after it zooms out, the logo fades out quickly with a zoom blue excluding the broken screen, growling loudly and when the ВИD logo is finished, the screen is still broken into a million pieces. [Should I edit out the "blue" or should it be "out of the blue"?]
Music/Sounds[]
When the Viacom logo is shown, the usual V of Doom theme plays. When the BИD face shows up and crashes the screen, a glass shattering sound is heard accompanied by a monstrous scream (from the S.T.A.L.K.E.R that ВИD found and uploaded to YouTube) while the five-note fanfare of the ВИD logo plays.
Scare Factor[]
Depending on the variant:
- Original variant: Nightmare. The Viacom logo either scary or not (but the "V" zooming in is the doom, because that is called the “V of Doom”), but the angry ВИD mask coming out of nowhere without warning can be really scary to people. This is one of, if not, the SCARIEST logos of all time, joining Horror Factory, Slaughterhouse Entertainment, Royal Nepal Film Corporation (Information Department of the Nepalese Government), Gorgon Video, Team Happy Rainbow Panda Bears, and KWSU. In fact, this has scared a whopping more than TEN MILLION people. For some people it might not be jarring at all.
- Warped music and warp-speed variants: Nightmare. The fact that the music is warped/warp-speed does not help AT ALL. Not suitable for the faint of heart!!!
Trivia[]
- The alternate cracked screen version was ripped by the scary YouTube user logo himself ВИD, but the channel doesn't exist due to terrorism promotion.
